Musings of a quieter time, in touch with the earth and the lush feeling of being alive. Moments in the garden, listening to the bees buzz, a little one exploring his environment and finding the mutual joy of Nature's gifts....
Do I live a rustic life, even in the midst of suburban/urban life? Perhaps I do, even on those days when I don't give it a thought. Yet, with the birds flocking to the small piece of land we manage, upkeep, survey, and love, I know I am truly in the midst of what is pure idyll. Go to the end of the street, and you will find yourself in the "urban-ness" of business and convenient commodity. Yet, sit on the back porch swing, take a deep breath and let the cool breeze push its way around the yard, listen to the birds sing their individual songs, and just breathe. I am an urban/suburban Vermonter, living the moments of idyll in the midst of progress....
